University School of Milwaukee was the only area school to compete in the Wisconsin State High School Ski and Snowboard Championships as a team, on Feb. 14 at Mt. La Crosse. The boys finished in 10th place out of 20 squads, with a score of 672.
Senior Porter Westveer led the Wildcats to their team finish by placing 11th individually in the combined results among all disciplines with a score of 46. Westveer finished in the top 20 in all three events, and placed ninth in the slalom with a time of 42.96. Other individual finishers at state were Roman Westveer '23 in 45th place, Nico Potter '21 in 58th place, Jackson Darr '24 in 82nd place, Conner Gourlay '22 in 89th place, Spencer Steffes '22 in 139th place, and Joseph Gozon '21 in 147th place.
